6.12.12 Aditya Prakash Ensemble

The Aditya Prakash Ensemble is a collaboration which aims to break down walls between the cultures of jazz and Indian classical music, to discover music that is free from genre. Through the common language of improvisation, as well as compositions that uniquely blend Indian Raga melodies and complex rhythms, with Jazz’s rich harmonic structure, the group seeks to illuminate the transcendental nature of music.

This collaboration is not a product based solely on styles and traditions intermingling, but rather based on inner expression and intuition. This group captures the timeless message of enlightened souls and poets such as Meerabai, Saint Surdas, and Rabindranath Tagore through their original lyrics which are arranged and composed in a unique musical landscape.
